PM Receives ADB Vice-President
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank Xiaoyu Zhao.
“We have gone quite a lot together, expanding cooperation, trying to encourage private businesses, as well as implementing the North-South Road Corridor Investment Program,” the Prime Minister said in his welcoming remarks, thanking the ADB for support. Tigran Sargsyan highlighted the importance of the scheduled business forum in terms of introducing Armenia’s private sector investment opportunities.
Thankful for reception, the ADB Vice-President gave the details of his meetings with the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Transport and Communications. He said to have called at several sites of the North-South project getting acquainted with the ongoing activities.
Talking about the joint projects, the interlocutors discussed the possibility of providing technical assistance and consulting services.
Xiaoyu Zhao said the Bank is interested in continued relationship and will do more to improve the Armenia’s investment climate and attract additional investment. According to him, Armenia is a model country in the field of SMEs and women's entrepreneurship and is therefore appreciated by ADB's shareholders.
