Tigran Sargsyan Meets With Holiday-Making Children In Hankavan
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited “Arshaluys” and “Hasmik” camps in Hankavan to meet with holiday-making children from vulnerable families. Tigran Sargsyan was met with dances and music performed by the children themselves.
The Prime Minister toured the camps, getting acquainted with the recreational and catering facilities. He talked to the children asking about their everyday life.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration Vache Terteryan, Governor of Kotayk Marz Kovalenko Shahgaldyan.
The government is implementing a yearly summer vacation program for children from needy families, hosted by Hankavan’s “Arshaluys,” “Hasmik,” “Aragats," “Fairy Gorge" and Tsahkadzor’s “Spa” camps. Annually some 3000 children attend the program in 2 shifts, each lasting 20 days.
The activities are coordinated and carried out by an interdepartmental committee, under the Prime Minister’s decision. Children’s eligibility lists submitted on the part of regional administrations and the Yerevan Town Hall.
