Integrated Social Service Management Council Holds Meeting
Chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, the Integrated Social Service Management Council held a regular meeting in the Office of Government.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan reported progress with the pilot program on introduction of integrated social services in Armenia. In particular, 19 regional integrated social service centers were said to have been formed nationwide, 6 of which are already operational.
The other centers will be commissioned upon completion of computer network installation and equipping activities. The following activities were said complete: installation of information systems, office repairs and staff training.
As the meeting reviewed maintenance-related issues, the Prime Minister issued appropriate instructions to the agencies concerned. The Council next discussed the integrated social services funding model. In this connection, the head of government stressed the importance of continued cooperation between the relevant agencies to identify and address potential problems in the implementation of the pilot program.
Following the introduction of the system of integrated social services, the citizens will have to address their queries to a one-stop-shop center of integrated social services, for which there has been developed a unified application processing system.
