Government-IFAD Joint Programs Ensure Serious Progress In Agriculture
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) project manager Munif Nurallah.
Welcoming the guest, the head of government stressed the importance of Government-IFAD cooperation, considering it as an important driving force for advancing reform in agriculture. “Farming is set as a priority in the government program since we have great potential for the growth of agriculture,” the Prime Minister said.
As M. Nurallah referred to the programs implemented by the IFAD in Armenia, the parties discussed issues related to the new program submitted to the International Fund for Agricultural Development. The head of the Armenia mission advised that during their previous visit, the IFAD delegation had meetings with the representatives of relevant government departments to discuss and outline the program targets.
In conclusion, reference was made to the existing problems and achievements.
