Prime Minister Meets With Outgoing Italian Ambassador

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received today outgoing Italy Ambassador to Armenia Bruno Scappini.

The head of government highly appreciated the Ambassador’s efforts for the expansion and deepening of Armenian-Italian relations.

Bruno Scapini expressed gratitude to the Government of Armenia for close collaboration, noting that the Armenian-Italian relations have developed in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The Ambassador reminded that the two countries have established the Armenian-Italian Chamber of Commerce to help new Italian companies get involved in Armenia and attract Italian investors to the country. According to Bruno Scappini, more and more Italians are visiting Armenia every year, and this is one of the best ways to strengthen bilateral relationship.

Bruno Scappini went on to inform that a gala event dedicated to Armenian music will be organized in Verona on the sidelines of the events dedicated to Armenian Genocide Centennial.
The Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for contributing to the development of Armenian-Italian relations and wished him every success in his future activities.
