Armenia, Iran Statistics Services Sign MOU
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by Iranian Statistics Center Director Adel Azar.
“We are happy to start cooperating with friendly Iran in the field of statistics. We are convinced that both countries will benefit from such cooperation,” Tigran Sargsyan said adding that strengthened ties in this field my help expand and deepen bilateral relationship, in general.
In turn, Adel Azar noted that Armenia and Iran boast high-level economic and humanitarian relations, and the Iranian side seeks cooperation in the field of statistics. In this context, the parties discussed future plans and programs.
Attended by the Prime Minister of Armenia, the National Statistica Service of Armenia and the Iranian Statistics Center signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation between the two countries’ statistics services.
The memorandum was signed by Armenia National Statistics Service Head Stepan Mnatsakanyan and Iran Statistics Center Director Adel Azar.
Under the MOU, the two sides will exchange and disseminate statistical information and publications, mutually assist in the areas of methodology and telecommunications.
