PM Visits Military Unit, Congratulates Soldiers On Upcoming Holidays
On New Year and Christmas holidays, accompanied by Minister-Chief of Government Staff Vache Gabrielyan and high-level representatives of the armed forces, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited military unit NN of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
The Premier got acquainted with the soldiers’ social and living conditions, had lunch with them talking about their concerns.
Tigran Sargsyan congratulated the troops on the upcoming holidays and thanked them for dedicated service.
“As they are well aware that you are the pledge of our safety and secure life, all the Cabinet members are visiting today Armenia’s military units. It is a duty and a great honor, since thanks to your service any Armenian family may celebrate New Year and Christmas in safety. I wish you safe service so that you may live up to the task set before you and be back home to shoulder another important duty - service of our people.
2013 was a year of hard work. On the one hand, we have provided the army with the necessary amount of modern equipment and, on the other hand, we will furnish advanced weaponry in 2014 to raise the level of professionalism of our soldiers s it is our duty to provide you with such weapons as will enhance our army’s fighting capacity and set new tasks before you.
The outgoing year was successful in economic terms. In particular, we had serious progress in industry, agriculture and information technologies. There were also shortcomings and failures. Nevertheless,, the capacity we have in Armenia instills hope that 2014 will be a year of new achievements,” the Head of Government said.
In conclusion, Tigran Sargsyan wished the soldiers every success, peace and happiness.
