Established On Demise of Jim Torosyan, Funeral Commission Holds Meeting
Established on the passing of USSR People’s Architect, Academician of the International Academy of Architecture, Member of SU Academy of Arts, Academician of SU and RF Academy of Architecture and Construction, laureate of numerous State prizes of USSR and Armenian SSR, Honored Architect of the Republic of Armenia, holder of a presidential award, Knight of the Order of Red Banner of Labor and Order of Honor of the USSR, holder of St. Sahak-St. Mesrob Orders of the Armenian Apostolic Church, honorary citizen of Yerevan and Spitak, Professor of Architecture Jim Torosyan, the funeral commission met today in the Office of Government to discuss funeral preparations.
A memorial service for Jim Torosânu will be held on January 8, from 18:00 to 20:00 at St. John church of Yerevan.
From 12:00 to 14:00, January 9, last farewell will be bid to Jim Torosian at the headquarters of the Armenian Union of Architects, followed by the funeral ceremony due at the Komitas Pantheon in Yerevan.
