International Experts Highly Value Government’s Pension Reform Effort

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation headed by the Council Chairman of the Fund “C- QUADRAT Ampega Asset Management Armenia”, Ernst-Ludwig Drayss.

Welcoming the guests, Tigran Sargsyan thanked them for their participation in the implementation of pension reform in Armenia.

“We associate great hopes with you and believe in successful joint effort. The implementation of pension reform is a well-meditated decision. Our goal is to respond adequately to challenges in the 21st century,” Tigran Sargsyan said.

Appreciating the Government’s activities and commitment toward the ongoing pension reform, the guests expressed readiness to support those activities. Noting that they represented one of Europe’s leading and largest companies, C- QUADRAT founder Alexander Schultz said they had been impressed with the Government’s wise decision aimed at solving the country’s pension problem.

“Armenia is moving forward in the right direction that will ensure long-term social and economic stability for its citizens,” Mr. Schultz stressed.

According to the Head of Government, the pension reform will go a long way toward building a strong civil society in Armenia.

“We will have 270,000 responsible citizens who will control not only their personal accounts, but also the fund managers and the government," the Prime Minister pointed out.

The parties took the time to talk about bilateral cooperation and upcoming programs.
