PM Attends St. Sarkis Feast Celebrations

The feast of youth mediator St. Sarkis is marked on February 15. His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, declared it to be the day of youth blessing.

In the frame of St. Sarkis feast-dedicated celebrations, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended two exhibitions open at the National Art Center and the House of Painters’ Union. These already traditional exhibitions feature young artists’ best works on the theme of love: love for God, love for country, love for nature, love of neighbor and reciprocated love.

As he was introduced to the works on display, the Prime Minister talked to the young artists, delivered a congratulatory speech on the occasion. “I join those warm and beautiful remarks that can be heard today. I wish to congratulate everyone on this nice holiday. Let love be with you forever. May your families be blessed with everlasting peace and love,” the Prime Minister said.

Later on the Prime Minister joined President Serzh Sargsyan to attend a gala concert held at the Lovers’ Park in Yerevan. The event was also attended by Vicar of the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese Rev. Father Navasard Archbishop Kchoyan, Minister of Diaspora Hranoush Hakobyan and Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.

At the Lovers’ Park, the Prime Minister visited a Ministry of Diaspora-hosted exposition of hand-made souvenirs authored by Syrian Armenians. The head of government talked to them in order to learn their problems and concerns.

The Ararat Patriarchal Diocese has been traditionally hosting festive events under the motto of “Invincible id the power of love.” This year’s celebrations kicked off on February 10. Note that St. Sarkis feast celebrations are held under the high auspices of President Serzh Sargsyan..
