Accompanied by Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan and Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan traveled to Armavir Marz.
The Head of Government first called at the anti-hail station in the vicinity of Arshalouys Aknalich communities. The Prime Minister was informed that a second layer of anti-hail stations is being installed in Armavir Marz. 80 new anti-hail stations have been purchased with State budget funding, 50 of which will be located in Armavir Marz. As a result, anti-hail protection efficiency and reliability will be enhanced considerably. Thus, in Armavir Marz alone, the number of anti-hail systems will be 161, with 442 such stations operating countrywide. It was also reported that the management of anti-hail systems will henceforth be ensured by the Crisis Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Tigran Sargsyan next took the opportunity to talk to the peasants working in the vineyards. The farmers thanked the Premier for various social programs implemented following last year’s devastating hailstorm, including the refund of land tax amounts and water fees, the availability of low-cost seeds, fertilizers, diesel fuel, as well as the granting of lump-sum assistance. The Prime Minister assured that the government will continue subsidizing diesel fuel, fertilizers and seeds for domestic farmers who will get them at a price significantly below the market one.
In conclusion, Tigran Sargsyan called on a vulnerable household in Aknalich community. The Premier handed in various gifts and told Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan to include the 4 student-strong household in the appropriate welfare programs.
