Transport security should be brought into line with international standards, driver’s licenses and vehicle registration certificates to be manufactured from most advanced materials
The question of transport safety is included in the schedule of measures to ensure the implementation of the National Strategy for Transportation Security for 2014-2017, which the Government approved at today’s Cabinet meeting.
Developed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications on instructions issued on the part of the President of the Republic of Armenia, the document aims to reduce the level of damage fatality from transport accidents, providing high-quality transport services. It will contribute to the growth of international and domestic trade turnover, safe movement of people and goods.
The Government decided that the traffic police should acquire polycarbonate cards, transparent protective films and protective film kinegrams with colored ribbons, necessary to provide the citizens with driver’s licenses and vehicle registration certificates. The cards must be laminated, resistant to prolonged exposure to high temperatures and ultraviolet radiation. The laminated protective film has a number of protective features to improve significantly the quality of services to citizens.
