2014-2025 Long-Term Strategic Development Program To Be Finalized For Government Approval

Chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, the 2014-2025 Long-Term Strategic Development Program (LSDP) Coordinating Council met in the Office of Government.

The meeting discussed the LSDP revision process, as well as its basic principles and directions. Views were exchanged regarding the proposals and recommendations voiced by meeting participants, including the representatives of civil society and international organizations. The Prime Minister instructed the heads of relevant agencies to take account of those proposals and recommendations in order to finalize the program as shortly as possible and submit it for the Government’s approval.

Summing the meeting, the Prime Minister said, “This ambitious document is crucial for successful implementation of a variety of programs. The program is comprehensive and reflects the government’s main directions and priorities: job creation, export-oriented industrial policy implementation, development of small and medium-sized enterprises, which has a political dimension, harmonious territorial development, addressing social and demographic issues, development of research and education. The document describes the government’s policy, and how to implement reforms in the aforementioned areas.”
