Approved is the strategic program of e-Government The program will help expand electronic services
At today's meeting, the Government adopted a strategic program of e-Government, which was developed based on the previous decisions of the Government on the development of the IT sector and e-society.
According to the December 24, 2013 roadmap of Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union and Common Economic Space, Armenia’s public component of the national segment of integrated system and general infrastructure of electronic documentation of information will be created.
According to the concept of e-society, a number of activities were carried out in our country aimed at increasing the availability of computer technology, the introduction of electronic services, ensuring cyber security, digital literacy and overcoming some of the other challenges.
There has been launched a program referred to as “Computer for everybody,” far back in 2010, the Government introduced the www.e-gov.am electronic portal, in 2012 the Government introduced passports and ID cards containing biometric data, as well as an e-procurement system. The program will help expand electronic services.
