Government approves a number of draft legislative amendments Checks in the field of atomic energy shall be carried out in accordance with international standards
At today’s Cabinet meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan, the Government approved a package of draft laws on amendments to the laws on safe use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes and on organization and conduct of audits in the Republic of Armenia, the adoption of which will help bring audits in the sphere of atomic energy into line with Armenia’s commitments assumed under international treaties.
The meeting approved a draft law on amendments to the law on the organization and conduct of audits in the Republic of Armenia, which is needed to take into account the characteristics of urban planning in the framework of the inspection reform. The draft law is expected to streamline and clarify the function of risk-based audits of State inspection in the field of urban planning.
The Government next approved a package of draft laws on amendments to the customs and criminal codes, the law on combating money-laundering and the financing of terrorism, which proposes to set stricter penalties for these crimes. The meeting approved a package of draft laws on amendments to the code on administrative offences, customs code and in three other laws.
The draft proposes to streamline the sphere of consular records in order to make it a more accessible and easy process. Citizens will be able to get consular registration from any location by visiting the respective website.
The above bills will be submitted to the National Assembly in the manner established by law.
