Dilijan International School Educational Program Of Paramount National Importance
At today’s Cabinet sitting, the Government passed a decision on the acknowledgement of exclusive public interest within the administrative boundaries of Dilijan community in Tavush Marz of Armenia.
Given the importance of independent and non-profit educational programs implemented under Camp Ventures CJSC, a number of Armenia- and UK-registered charities, as well as by the United World Colleges, the Executive recognized exclusive public interest with regard to the immovable property (land and buildings) belonging to Armenian citizen Satenik Santrosyan on the following grounds: the project interest prevails over that of the alienated property, because the school’s educational program is of nationwide relevance, the unimpeded implementation of the program will help provide training to 650 students from 50 countries, and the program goals cannot be fully achieved unless the aforementioned property is alienated.
The decision specifies, in particular, that Camp Ventures CJSC is the Buyer of the property, with Tavush Marz Governor appointed to be the authorized coordinator for implementation of the process of alienation. May 1, 2014 is the final deadline for the startup of the property acquisition process.
The facility at issue is located in the immediate vicinity of the educational complex, which will be composed of auxiliary buildings, will be reconstructed and renovated.
