PM Introduces Newly Appointed Sport, Youth Affairs Minister
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan introduced newly appointed Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Gabriel Ghazaryan to Ministry staff.
Thanking former Minister Yuri Vardanyan for joint work, the Prime Minister noted that the legendary athlete’s skills, knowledge and experience will keep on promoting sports in Armenia.
Introducing the newly appointed Minister, the Prime Minister stated in part, “I hope you will try to build on the reforms underway in the ministry. Sport is an important area and, as Prime Minister, I will do everything to help you implement the programs entrusted to you.”
Then the floor was given to the former and newly appointed ministers. Yuri Vardanyan thanked the ministry staff for fruitful cooperation and congratulated Gabriel Ghazaryan, wishing him every success.
In turn, Gabriel Ghazaryan said that on assuming the office he was able to get a more accurate idea of the problems available in this field; now he is familiar with the operational staff and stands ready to work more actively together.
Thanking the President and the Prime Minister for confidence, the newly appointed Minister said the Ministry will continue with the ongoing programs and will record new achievements.
