Hovik Abrahamyan Welcomes Renowned Designer Michael Aram Volohodzhyan
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received world-famous American designer of Armenian origin Michael Aram Volohodzhyan.
The Head of Government welcomed the Master’s Yerevan-hosted exposition of decorative metal work, dated to the 25th anniversary of Volohodzhyan’s artistic activities.
“I know that the exhibition has aroused great interest among critics and broad circles of society. I am glad that your ethnic vision and national approaches are at the heart of your works, which add credit to our people around the world,” Hovik Abrahamyan said.
The Prime Minister urged the famous designer not only to visit Homeland more frequently, but also to set up a studio and a school at home and engage in business activities. Hovik Abrahamyan assured that the government is ready to support Michael Aram’s any undertaking in Armenia.
The famous designer thanked the Premier for a warm welcome, assistance with the organization of the exposition and many useful recommendations. Expressing willingness to get involved in Homeland, Michael Aram said to be hopeful that it might promote his art among his compatriots.
At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister and Michael Aram exchanged souvenirs.

Ranging from kitchenware to furniture, Michael Aram Volohodzhyan’s highly artistic products are sold at various exhibitions and 600 specialty stores worldwide. Among the many prestigious prizes won by the famous designer is the Eellis Island Order, which he received in 2011 for significant contribution to culture in the United States.
