Prime Minister wished success for applicants sitting common entrance examinations
Today common entrance examinations started for the year 2014. In this connection, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Manuk Mkrtchyan visited Yerevan State University to meet with those applicants sitting a common entrance exam in Biology and get introduced to the examination procedure.
The Prime Minister wished every success to the applicants and stressed that everything will be done to ensure fair examinations.
“Our goal is to ensure fair competition. We will control everything to be within the law. We highly appreciate those who have knowledge. I wish that all of you could freely demonstrate your knowledge and achieve success,” the head of the government said.
Then, in the presence of Hovik Abrahamyan and with the participation of the students, the Biology examination envelopes were disclosed for the year 2014.
Coming up to those parents gathered in the courtyard of the building, where the exam was being the Prime Minister wished them patience and urged them to inform him immediately in the event of any concerns about unfairness. The Prime Minister emphasized that anyone responsible for breaches will be brought to justice.
At a briefing with journalists, Hovik Abrahamyan noted the importance of ensuring fairness and transparency in State examinations and thereby creating the necessary conditions for fair and equitable competition. The purpose of the State is to ensure that each student had access to education, regardless of social conditions.
