Hovik Abrahamyan gets acquainted with the upcoming programs of AYB high school
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan visited today AYB high school. The head of government toured the educational institution, getting acquainted with the conditions available for the students, the educational processes and upcoming programs.
The Prime Minister was informed that it is planned to build a new academic town on an area of 7 hectares housing elementary, middle and high schools, a sports complex, a center of art in the coming years. It is also planned to set up a modern lab in the near future furnished with state-of-the-art equipment to provide robotics-related and engineering programs.
The head of government was also briefed on the academic program of the school’s center of excellence to be implemented jointly with the Government. It was reported that from this academic year, the number of elementary primary school students will be brought to 82, while that of the high school will be 260.
By this yearend, either a primary school will be operational. It was reported that about 80 percent of the students with social orientation are supported by selected benefactors of scholarships.
Welcoming the programs, the Premier noted their importance and expressed his government’s support in the implementation of the projected activities. By the way, in the AYB town work is going on to build the Church of Saint Translators. The Church will be donated to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
