Prime Minister Welcomes Lebanese Minister of Armenian Descent
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Minister of Energy and Water of the Republic of Lebanon of Armenian descent Arthur Nazaryan.
Highly appreciative of the traditionally friendly ties between Armenia and Lebanon, the head of government said, “As the Prime Minister of Armenia, I will do everything to achieve a breakthrough in bilateral relationship with a view to boosting and strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between our two countries.”
The parties stressed the need to activate bilateral trade and economic cooperation and make a better use of the existing potentialities.
In this regard, the interlocutors found it necessary to intensify the activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission that will give a new dimension to economic relations. Hovik Abrahamyan and Artur Nazarian exchanged views on the Middle East developments, commenting on the problems and challenges facing the Armenian community of Lebanon.
The Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings to his Lebanese counterpart, inviting him to visit Armenia at his convenience.
