Premier’s working visits to the provinces continue: the Head of Government was in Lori Marz today
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan today paid a working visit to Lori Marz. The visit of the Head of the Government started from the regional center - Vanadzor, where the Prime Minister attended the opening ceremony of the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the 911 emergency call service center of Lori.
Hovik Abrahamyan toured the centers, familiarized with the working conditions and facilities. Then Prime Minister Abrahamyan approached Vanadzor chemical plant employees who had gathered near the building of Lori Regional Rescue Emergency Department. They complained that they had not been paid for months, while the fate of the plant was unknown. The Head of Government listened to all employees personally and promised to issue orders for decision-makers regarding the settlement of the problem.
The Prime Minister left Vanadzor for Haghpat community to participate in the opening of the renovated school building. In this center of education intended for 192 students, 88 students are studying today. After reviewing the results of the School Improvement Program, Hovik Abrahamyan expressed satisfaction with the construction works.
The school in Haghpat was renovated under the school program of the Social Investment Fund of Armenia to a total cost of 116,773,943 drams. It was implemented in the period from July 2013 to June 2014. The interior finishing of the second floor of the school was implemented by Lori region administration provided by the Government as part of the 4th emergency program to a total cost of 18,997,923 drams. The school was allocated equipment for an amount equal 4,038,000 drams. Overhauled were the roofing and the toilets, facing, coating, internal and external finishing works were implemented, replaced were the windows and the wiring system, installed were heating and ventilation systems, internal and external networks of fire alert, water, gas and sewerage systems, renovated was the gym, etc.
The Premier next stopped at Akhtala community. The Prime Minister first visited the Mining Plant of Akhtala, then attended the opening of the local overhauled kindergarten and community playground. Hovik Abrahamyan was introduced to the work carried out under the program to improve community water systems in Akhtala.
The working visit of the Prime Minister ended with a visit to Teghut copper-molybdenum deposit, during which Hovik Abrahamyan familiarized with the current and future investment programs.
