PM Attends Yelpin Community 186th Anniversary Celebrations

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan traveled to Vayots-Dzor Marz of Armenia to attend Yelpin community 186th anniversary celebrations.

First, the Head of Government laid a wreath to the memorial, which perpetrates the memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War and the Freedom Fight for Artsakh, then he called at the St. Sargis church of Yelpin community.

Congratulating the locals on the festive occasion, Prime Minister Abrahamyan said the Government is taking steps to ensure proportionate territorial development.

“The government is doing everything possible to support rural communities by developing infrastructure and providing employment. Yelpin is a community familiar to me: I have been here a few times and have friends over here. I do believe that contacts like this provide a first-hand view of the problems faced by the farmers,” Hovik Abrahamyan noted.

The Prime Minister talked to the locals in order to learn the pace of farming activities and their concerns.

Thanking the Premier for support and assistance with the implementation of different vital programs, the community residents took the opportunity to introduce the existing problems.

Under a decision adopted by the local council of aldermen, Hovik Abrahamyan was conferred upon the title of honorary citizen of Yelpin community.
