Prime Minister’s Official Visit to Islamic Republic of Iran Continues
On the second day of his official visit to Iran, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with Isfahan Governor Rasul Zargarpur in Isfahan.
Hovik Abrahamyan noted the importance of enhanced cooperation between Armenian marzes and Iranian provinces, which can be promoted through mutual visits and friendly ties.
Thanking the Premier for visiting his province, the Governor of Isfahan praised the role of the Armenian community in the development of Isfahan province.
The Prime Minister-led delegation next visited the Armenian National Educational Complex in New Julfa, where the delegation was welcomed by the pupils, faculty and the representatives of the Armenian community.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Abrahamian hailed the educational complex for contributing to the preservation of the Armenian identity and expressed his government’s support for any initiative to that effect.
Later today, Hovik Abrahamyan’s delegation will call at Ararat sporting-cultural union to attend a gala event dedicated to the 350th anniversary of St. Joseph Church of the All Savior’s Cathedral in New Julfa.
