Hovik Abrahamyan Attends Event On Yerevan State Dance College 90th Anniversary
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan attended a jubilee event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Yerevan State Dance College at the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater after A. Spendiaryan.
Congratulating the staff and students of the college on the anniversary, Hovik Abrahamyan noted that the educational center had covered a nine-decade-long stretch of road to boast a performance record and becoming a cultural hotbed, which has its shape and a permanent place in the cultural life of our country.
“Over many years, your alumni replenish the ballet troupe of the Yerevan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater after Alexander Spendiaryan, various dance ensembles operating in Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora. Your pupils have produced brilliant performances in the most prestigious stages of the world - the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, the Grand Opera in Paris and other venues, winning the appreciation of exacting viewers. Also, commendable is your alumni activities for the conservation of the Armenian identity and the propagation of our culture,” the Prime Minister said wishing the staff and the pupils of the college, as well as their fans all the best and boundless energy for the implementation of new programs and ideas.
Under a decree signed by President Serzh Sargsyan and on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Yerevan State Dance College, for years-long teaching activities, Head of Department at Yerevan State Dance College Tatevik Gharibyan was awarded the medal of Khorenatsi, which she got from Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.
According to another decree signed by the President, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Yerevan State Dance College, for great contribution to the development of culture, teacher at the Yerevan State Dance College Anush Petrosyan was awarded the title of Honored Figure of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Yerevan State Dance College, Yerevan State Dance College SNCO was awarded the Prime Minister’s commemorative medal. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan presented to College Director Hasmik Markosyan.
The event was attended by students, students, college alumni, as well as the ballet troupe and orchestra of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater after A.Spendiaryan.
