PM Briefed on Cadastre Reform
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan attended the opening of a combined regional unit of the State Committee on Immovable Property Cadastre by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, which incorporates the units of Kotayk, Aragatsotn and Armavir marzes of Armenia.
The Prime Minister toured the new unit, inspected the working conditions and the operations of embedded electronic systems. The newly created department activities will contribute to the elimination of corruption, significantly limiting the contact between public officials and citizens.
As a result of the measures undertaken, over 110 million dram savings have been made to finance its further development and the technical opportunities. Hovik Abrahamyan welcomed the cadastre reform and the importance of their future prospects.
Owing to the above combination of territorial units, almost 650 thousand pieces out of over 2 million 200 thousand real estate (archival) materials have been included in the same system subdivision.
This will make it possible to implement strict control by providing the most comprehensive system of electronic functions and archival materials on completeness, scanning and shortcomings in their digitization.
