Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received a delegation led by Iraqi Transport Minister Jaber Al-Zubaidi.

The Prime Minister of Armenia noted with satisfaction that the Armenian-Iranian relations have been on the upgrade in recent years, supported by reciprocated high-level visits.

Highlighting the launch of air flights between Iraq and Armenia by Iraqi Airways, Hovik Abrahamyan said it may boost bilateral cooperation, including in the field of tourism.

Coming to economic exchanges, Hovik Abrahamyan said there is great development potential in this field, stressing the need to activate the work of the intergovernmental commission and promote business ties by means of business forums.

The Transport Minister of Iraq assured of Iraqi government’s keen interest to step up cooperation between the two countries. The parties took the opportunity to discuss other issues of mutual interest.
