Hovik Abrahamyan meets with State of Kuwait National Assembly Speaker Marzouq AlGhanim
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan who is paying an official visit to the State of Kuwait met with Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq AlGhanim.
On his own behalf and on behalf of the Parliament, Marzouq AlGhanim welcomed Hovik Abrahamyan’s official visit to the State of Kuwait and expressed confidence that it would give new impetus to the deepening and expansion of relations between the two countries.
The parties appreciated the current level of political dialogue between Armenia and Kuwait, noting the importance of furthering inter-parliamentary links, boosting economic cooperation and expanding bilateral relations in other areas.
The Armenian Premier and the Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker pointed to the importance of developing the Armenian-Kuwaiti cooperation within international organizations and noted that the two countries’ foreign policy is based on the universal values of peaceful coexistence among States and peoples, the strengthening of international peace and security, the preservation of regional stability.
The Chairman of the Kuwaiti Parliament expressed his appreciation for the activities of the Armenian community of Kuwait in various areas and the role of the local Armenian Diaspora in promoting the country’s development in various fields. Marzouq Al-Ghanim stressed the need to implement all the agreements reached during the Armenian Premier’s visit and expressed Kuwaiti Parliament’s support for their implementation.
The parties discussed issues relating to the global developments. After the meeting, the Prime Minister of Armenia toured the Parliament and attended a plenary session of Parliament.
