Armenian, Kuwaiti Prime Ministers discuss a number of issues for the development of economic cooperation between the two countries
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan-led delegation’s official visit to the State of Kuwait continues. The head of the Armenian government met eye-to-eye with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Prime Minister Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, followed by an enlarged meeting of the two delegations.
The head of the Kuwaiti government thanked Hovik Abrahamyan for accepting his invitation to pay an official visit to Kuwait and expressed conviction that the visit will give new impetus to the development and expansion of ties in the economic field.
Hovik Abrahamyan thanked the Prime Minister of Kuwait for the invitation and expressed confidence that his visit will help strengthen the ties between the two friendly nations and boost the mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
The parties noted the importance of implementing steps for further development of cooperation in the economic sphere. In this context, they highlighted the activity of the Armenian-Kuwaiti intergovernmental commission.
Hovik Abrahamyan and Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah discussed a number of issues relating to the possible implementation of bilateral programs in different sectors of economy, including industry, agriculture, infrastructure, tourism, etc. Reference was also made to the possibility of establishing direct flights between the two countries that will facilitate the deepening and expansion of bilateral ties.
The Prime Minister of Armenia invited his Kuwaiti counterpart to pay an official visit to Armenia; the invitation was accepted with gratitude.
After the meeting in the presence of Hovik Abrahamyan and Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, practical programs of cooperation were signed between the governments of the Republic of Armenia and the State of Kuwait in the fields of tourism and agriculture for 2015-2017.
The documents were signed by Armenian Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan and Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan for the Government of the Republic of Armenia, Trade and Industry Minister Abdulmohsen Al-Medeij and First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah for the Government of the State of Kuwait.
