Inspection Reform Coordination Council Holds Meeting




Chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, the Inspection Reform Coordination Council held the twelfth meeting of in the Office of Government.

According to the agenda, the Council considered and approved a set of draft amendments to government decrees No 857-N dated July 25, 2013, 970-N of September 5, 2013 and No 338-N of February 28, 2013.

The amendments to the first decree seek to bring the public health functions of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Healthcare into line with the related legislation, the second and third decisions are designed to monitor compliance with sanitary regulations and standards of food safety, through the National Service for Food Security of the Ministry of Agriculture.

With another agenda item, the Council approved a regulation for the unified appeals Commission of inspection bodies, the procedures for the nomination of members of the Appeals Board, a sample form of statements-complaints submitted to the Appeals Commission and notifications sent to the submitting application-complaint person of the time and place of the meeting and the draft decision of the Government on annulment of the Government decisions No 1361-N dated October 21, 2010.

The adoption of the draft law stems from the provisions of the RA Law on Inspection Bodies and recognizes null and void the Government Decree “On establishment of the Appeals Board and the approval of the procedure for review of decisions of the Appeals Commission of higher tax and customs authorities, since the Appeals Commission of inspection bodies will also address complaints to higher tax and customs authorities.
