PM Briefed on Progress in Oncology Excellence Center Construction
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan visited the site of the Armenian Oncology Excellence Center to become familiar with the pace of construction.
Note that this program is being implemented in three phases: the production of radioisotopes and molecular diagnostics, radiation treatment and outpatient services chemotherapy and surgical centers.
During the tour, the Prime Minister was introduced to the details of the work in process and the upcoming steps. It was noted that the production of radioisotopes is in the final stage of completion, with an IBA Molecular Company-produced Cyclone 18/18 cyclotron set up on March 18.
Stressing that the planned activities need to be implemented with due quality and within the prescribed period, the Prime Minister issued corresponding instructions to relevant departments. The Oncology Center is scheduled to make cancer prevention and early detection.
The Center will be equipped with modern radiology and radioisotope-based diagnostic equipment. It is expected to serve not only Armenian nationals, but also the population of regional countries.
