PM Receives Czech Ambassador
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Armenia Peter Petr Mikyska.
The Prime Minister congratulated Mr Mikyska on appointment and expressed confidence that his activities will help bolster political and economic relations between the two countries. Hovik Abrahamyan noted that our country is interested in developing multifaceted cooperation with the Czech Republic, including in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
According to the Head of Government, there is great potential for boosting trade exchanges between the two countries, which can be tapped in full through the activities of the Armenian-Czech intergovernmental commission, joint business forums and enhanced business ties. The Premier took the opportunity to express his appreciation of the role played by the Czech Republic in the strengthening of EU-Armenia relations and thanked the Czech side for the assistance provided on the margins of the Eastern Partnership Program.
The Czech ambassador said his country is mindful of developing interstate relations and deepening trade and economic ties with Armenia. Mr Mikyska expressed confidence that there is serious potential for increasing bilateral trade turnover and attracting investment. The Diplomat assured of his readiness to do everything in order to help implement the Armenian-Czech joint projects.
Coming to EU-Armenia relations, Petr Mikyska expressed confidence that the Riga Summit will usher a new era in the mutually beneficial cooperation and that tangible achievements will be recorded.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of other issues high on the agenda of bilateral relations.
