In conclusion of their working visit to France, the Prime Minister-led government delegation visited Yerevan Park in Paris to lay a wreath at the monument to Komitas in commemoration of the Armenian Genocide victims.

Later the Prime Minister and his delegation visited the Armenian Apostolic Church in Paris and the Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church in France and Europe, where they were greeted by Primate of the Armenian Diocese in France, His Grace Bishop Vahan Hovhannisyan.

While in Prelacy, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with the representatives of the Armenian community. In his speech, the Premier dwelt on Armenia’s home and foreign policies, the Government’s economic program, the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and answered numerous questions of interest to our compatriots.

He said to be prepared to provide all necessary assistance to advance Armenian language teaching for the rising generation. The Head of Government highlighted the fact that the knowledge of the Armenian language will first and foremost help the younger generation preserve their Armenian identity abroad.
