PM Welcomes First Japanese Resident Ambassador to Armenia
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received first-ever resident ambassador of Japan to Armenia Eiji Taguchi.
The Head of Government congratulated the Ambassador on the startup of his diplomatic mission in our country and wished him fruitful activities. Hovik Abrahamyan expressed the hope that the availability of reciprocated diplomatic representations will promote friendly relations and add momentum to mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the current level of political dialogue between our two countries, considering it important to make efforts toward enhancing trade and economic relations and make full use of the existing potential. In this regard, the Premier stressed the need to boost contacts between the respective business circles and organize business forums more frequently that will help outline new ways of cooperation and develop new programs.
Thankful for the reception, Eiji Taguchi assured that during his tenure he will do his best to build on the ongoing efficient interaction and strengthen bilateral relations. He expressed the belief that the presence of a resident diplomatic mission of Japan in the Republic of Armenia may become a turning point as to the activation of Armenia-Japan economic relations. Eiji Taguchi noted the importance of establishing closer ties between the business circles and holding business forums on a regular basis.
Looking at the cooperation prospects, the parties exchanged views on the development of relations in the fields of energy, agriculture, information technology and other sectors.
Pleased with the current pace of cooperation in the international arena, Hovik Abrahamyan, thanked the Japanese government for continued financial and technical assistance provided to our country.
