PM Hovik Abrahamyan Holds Phone Conversation with IRI First Vice President
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan held today a telephone conversation with First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Es’haq Jahangiri. The interlocutors discussed issues related to Armenian-Iranian cooperation.
Reference was made to the joint projects aimed at developing bilateral trade and economic relations. In this context, both sides stressed the importance of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission as a medium for strengthening interaction between the two countries.
The parties agreed to launch the construction of the third Iran-Armenia high-voltage power transmission line. Iran’s First Vice President reaffirmed his willingness to pay an official visit to Armenia by yearend.
Prime Minister Abrahamyan and IRI First Vice President Jahangiri took the opportunity to discuss regional issues.
