PM Welcomes Newly Appointed German Ambassador
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia Bernhard Matthias Kiesler.
Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment, the Prime Minister wished him fruitful and productive work. Hovik Abrahamyan expressed confidence that Ambassador Kiesler’s activities will help deepen and strengthen political and economic relations between Armenia and Germany.
Noting that there is great potential for the development of economic ties, the Premier highlighted the role to be played by the Armenian-German intergovernmental commission in this area.
Hovik Abrahamyan stressed that the Government of the Republic of Armenia stands ready to contribute to the implementation of any initiative stemming from the interests of the two countries and peoples.
Thanking for a warm reception, Matthias Kiesler assured that he would make every effort toward deepening and expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
The Ambassador described as quite effective the Armenian-German cooperation in a number of spheres, including economy, energy, humanitarian and other fields.
The parties next discussed issues concerning the relations between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union and the constitutional reform in our country.
