On July 7, 2006, Republic of Armenia Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan will travel to capital of Adjaria Batumi, Georgia, on a 3-day working visit to attend the 5th session of the Armenian-Georgian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
The Prime Minister-led government delegation will be composed of RA Minister of Finance and Economy Vardan Khachatryan, Deputy Foreign Minister Gegham Gharibjanyan, Chairman of State Customs Committee by the Government Armen Avetisyan, Deputy Minister of Energy Areg Galstyan, Adviser to Republic of Armenia Prime Minister Stepan Margaryan, Executive Director of "Armenian Railways" Joint-Stock Company Ararat Khrimyan, heads of Government Staff Departments and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other officials. The Prime Minister will also be accompanied by members of the National Assembly and representatives of business circles.
During the visit, Andranik Margaryan will meet with his Georgian counterpart Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli.
The Armenian-Georgian intergovernmental commission will discuss questions of economic cooperation, the course of performance of the decisions passed at the previous session, the current status of bilateral economic relationship and the prospects for their development, including questions concerning the ongoing cooperation in the fields of agriculture, energy, wildlife management, public health care, customs affairs, transport and communication, culture, education, tourism. The session will be followed by the joint press conference of the prime ministers of Armenia and Georgia.
Within the framework of the working visit, Republic of Armenia Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan and his delegation will similarly pay visits to a number of enterprises in Batumi and Batoumi seaport.
The delegation will be back to Yerevan on Monday, July 10.
