Iran First Vice President to Visit Armenia
At the invitation of Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Es’haq Jahangiri will be paying an official visit to Armenia on October 14-15.
The First Vice President of Iran is scheduled to meet with President Serzh Sargsyan, Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, National Assembly Chairman Galust Sahakyan and Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamian.
On October 14, the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Vice President of Iran will hold face-to-face talks, followed by the two delegations’ meeting in expanded format, after which Es’haq Jahangiri and Hovik Abrahamyan will make a joint statement for mass media. On October 15, Es’haq Jahangiri and Hovik Abrahamyan will be attending the Armenian-Iranian business forum.
The Iranian First Vice President will next call at Matenadaran to attend the opening of Antoine and Andre Sevrugyans’ exposition. Es’haq Jahangiri is also due to visit the Blue Mosque in Yerevan to take part in a reception dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Blue Mosque.
