PM Hovik Abrahamyan Attends Opening of Arevshat Avagyan’s Exposition
Accompanied by Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan visited today famous novelist Perch Proshyan’s house-museum in Ashtarak.
The Prime Minister attended painter, translator Arevshat Avagian’s exhibition entitled “The reflection of Armenian fall colors in Avagyian’s works,” dedicated to the painter’s 75th and Nerses Ashtaraketsi’s 245th birth anniversaries.
On his 75th birth anniversary and for significant contributions to Armenian art, Arevshat Avagyan was awarded the Prime Minister’s commemorative medal. The painter thanked the Premier for high appreciation of his works and great attention shown to culture in general. Then the Prime Minister watched performances staged by the pupils of Ashtarak Music School after A. Ayvazyan and Teryan Cultural Center.
The Premier next called at Perch Proshyan’s house-museum where he met with a group of intellectuals - writers, musicians, artists, as well as theater and film actors. The Head of Government got acquainted with the programs implemented in the field of culture, listened to the intellectuals’ concerns, answered their questions.
In conclusion, the Prime Minister paid a visit to Karmravor church in Ashtarak.
