PM Welcomes European Athletics Federation President and Executive Director
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today European Athletics Federation President Svein Arne Hansen and Executive Director Christian Milts.
Noting the importance of their visit, the Premier expressed confidence that it would help develop athletics in Armenia and deepen cooperation with the Armenian Athletics Federation.
Prime Minister Abrahamyan noted that the Armenian government is doing everything to develop sports and promote a healthy lifestyle in the country. The Head of Government thanked the European Athletics Federation for assistance in the construction of a treadmill with synthetic coating in Hrazdan Stadium of Yerevan.
The guests said to be ready to continue supporting the Athletics Federation of Armenia in order to speed up the development of this sport in the country. As they said, the availability of synthetic treadmills in Yerevan will make it possible to organize numerous large-scale international tournaments over the coming years.
In conclusion, attended by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, a memorandum of understanding on the refurbishment of Hrazdan Stadium was signed to enable the construction of a treadmill with synthetic coating in Hrazdan Stadium of Yerevan.
