Expansion of Armenia-Iran Economic Cooperation Discussed
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Seyed Kazem Sadjadi.
Congratulating the Ambassador on appointment, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that his active efforts would help strengthen the friendship between the two nations, as well as build on the Armenian-Iranian cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
Stressing the need for establishing closer ties in different spheres of economy, Hovik Abrahamyan expressed confidence that IRI First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri’s official visit to Armenia and the reciprocated business forums would add momentum to the implementation of joint projects.
Ambassador Sadjadi conveyed warm greetings on behalf of First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri’s, noting that he would make active efforts in order to develop and strengthen relations between Armenia and Iran.
The Ambassador appreciated Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s personal contribution to the deepening of economic cooperation and expressed confidence that substantial progress would be achieved in this area in the near future. Mr. Sadjadi emphasized that either the Iranian authorities are keen to expand economic exchanges. The parties took the opportunity to look at other issues relating to the implementation of joint economic projects.
