State Committee on Immovable Property Cadastre by the Government Submits 2015 Performance Report
Chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, the Cabinet discussed the annual performance report submitted by the State Committee on Immovable Property Cadastre by the Government (SCIP), which covered the agency’s key activities, its compliance with the Government’s action plan, priority tasks and estimated performance in 2015.
SCIP Chairman Martin Sargsyan reported that all the priority tasks had been complied with in time. As he said, property rights State registration fees and information provision fees were raised to the amount of nearly 3 billion 330 million drams, while 822 million drams were collected as State duties in the period under review.
179 780 cases of State registration of real estate rights and encumbrances were recorded last year. 311 thousand pieces of information were provided to central and local authorities, citizens and businesses by the IP Center department staff. 49 953 property alienation transactions, 17 812 mortgage operations, 1041 lease deals were completed on the domestic real estate market in 2015. 314 875 applications were received last year. Work has been done on the creation of cartographic basis of basic geographic information system for the public administration and local self-government bodies.
It is expected that the result will reflect the actual image of the bank in the area, which will underlie the various departmental sectors, including construction, environmental, industrial, real estate cadastre, land planning, agricultural land registration, land consolidation, geological exploration for forestry, emergency optimal and efficient decision-making, the regions, communities and the development of certain areas, optimum planning and problem-solving.
At the same time, work on community bordering and introduction of the WGS-84 system is complete. The chief objective is to introduce a unified WGS-84 geodetic coordinate system of the cartographic base in 3 Marzes of Armenia (Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir), as well as develop topographic and cadastral maps and plans and community coordination and adjustment of administrative boundaries.
Appreciating the work done by the State Committee on Immovable Property Cadastre by the Government, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan noted that extensive efforts had been made by the Committee in the period under review, as a result of which ever fewer complaints are being received from citizens. The Head of Government stressed the importance of continued improvements, adding that it is necessary to take consistent steps to this end.
