PM Receives RF Minister of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received RF Minister of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Vladimir Puchkov.
The Prime Minister congratulated Vladimir Puchkov on being awarded the Friendship Order of the President of the Republic of Armenia for development of Armenian-Russian friendly relations, significant contribution to the furtherance of cooperation between Armenian and Russian rescue services. Hovik Abrahamyan highly appreciated the Russian Minister’s personal contribution during the campaign for elimination of consequences of the 1988 earthquake in Spitak.
The Prime Minister highlighted the development and deepening of ties of allied partnership between our two countries, including cooperation in the prevention and countering of emergency situations. Pleased with the opening of the Armenian-Russian humanitarian response center in Kotayk Marz of Armenia, the Premier expressed confidence that it will live up to the proposed objectives.
Minister Puchkov thanked Hovik Abrahamyan for his kind remarks, noting that it was a great honor for him to receive the Friendship Order from the President of Armenia. Mr Puchkov noted the importance of the Armenian-Russian humanitarian response center, emphasizing that it will help upgrade bilateral cooperation in this field and implement new joint projects.
The Prime Minister of Armenia expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation of the Armenian and Russian Ministries of Emergency Situations, emphasizing that it will promote interaction in the field of emergency situations and civil defense.
