Inspection Reform Coordination Council Holds Regular Meeting
Chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, the 14th meeting of the Inspection Reform Coordination Council was held today in the Office of Government.
The Council discussed and approved a set of amendments to the Charter of the State Inspectorate for Mineral Resources by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the checklists and the methodology of risk-based inspections.
The meeting discussed the question of amending the Law on Inspection Bodies and other laws. The proposed amendments seek to give a clearer definition to the status of inspection bodies, clarify their terms of reference, powers and so on. An exchange of views was infolded on the matter.
Summing up the debate, the Premier instructed the stakeholders to finalize the proposed amendments and submit them for the Government’s approval.
