Prime Minister Attends Eurasian Intergovernmental Council Meeting
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan attended today a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Moscow. The Prime Minister’s delegation was composed as follows: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan, Head of State Revenue Committee by the Government Hovhannes Hovsepyan, Deputy Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Suren Karayan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan and other officials.
First, the EAEC Council of Heads of Government met in a narrow format, followed by a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in the extended format.
The heads of government discussed a wide range of issues related to the current agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union. The meeting stressed the importance of bringing to a new level the dialogue and economic cooperation with China in the EAEC-China format. In accordance with the working procedures, a number of decisions were signed at the end of the meeting.
During the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. Dmitry Medvedev suggested holding the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan on May 20, 2016.
