PM Receives Newly Appointed Head of OSCE Yerevan Office
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received newly appointed head of the OSCE Yerevan Office, Ambassador Argo Avakov.
Congratulating the Ambassador on his new appointment, the Premier expressed the hope that his activity would go a long way toward building on the already established close ties of cooperation between the Government of Armenia and the OSCE Yerevan Office.
Hovik Abrahamyan made a positive assessment of the activities of the OSCE Office in Yerevan in terms of supporting the multifaceted reforms underway in different areas of public life, which cover the legislative framework, the business environment, as well as the protection of human rights and the development of e-governance.
Ambassador Argo Avakov assured that he would do everything to build on the ongoing close ties of cooperation, adding that the OSCE Yerevan office would continue to actively cooperate with the Armenian authorities in order to push ahead with the reform process.
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and Ambassador Argo Avakov next referred to those legal regulations implemented as part of the constitutional reform in Armenia and the co-operation with the OSCE Yerevan Office aimed at the adoption of the new Electoral Code.
