PM Pays Tribute to Armenian Genocide Victims
As part of the Armenian Genocide 101st anniversary commemorations, early today Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan visited Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex in company of Cabinet members to pay tribute to Genocide victims. The Premier laid a wreath and dipped flowers at the Eternal Flame.
Talking to journalists, the Head of Government said Armenia will continue to strive for the reinstatement of truth and justice in the matter of the Armenian Genocide.
“It is first of all up to Turkish authorities to think over the recognition of the truth; and the sooner, the better. The world, too, has a contribution to make in this regard. The international community must condemn the first genocide of the twentieth century in order to prevent genocides from recurring ahead. As we commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide, we should eye the future, build our homeland and strengthen Artsakh - the second Armenian State,” Hovik Abrahamyan noted.
