RA, NKR Prime Ministers Meet in Stepanakert

As part of his working visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan held a face to face meeting with NKR Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, followed by an enlarged meeting of the two government delegations.

Welcoming the government delegation of the Republic of Armenia, Arayik Harutyunyan thanked the President, the Prime Minister, the members of the Armenian Government and the people of Armenia for visiting the NKR in this crucial for Artsakh period, as well as for supporting the people of Artsakh throughout the four-day war in early April and during the days that followed. The NKR Prime Minister noted that the authorities of the Republic of Armenia had responded to all the questions raised by the government of Artsakh.

In turn, Prime Minister Abrahamyan said the Government of Armenia is prepared to discuss any practical issue relating not only to the current period, but also the future in order to provide the necessary assistance to the Government of the NKR.

As Hovik Abrahamyan pointed out, during the four-day war everyone realized once again that Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora were united and mobilized around a common goal. The Prime Minister of Armenia emphasized that during the April war, our troops managed a decent counter-attack on the aggressor, demonstrating that the Armenian people could not be taken at the point of the sword.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues relating to the development of bilateral relations and expansion of cooperation in different spheres. The two heads of government hailed the ongoing interaction between the ministries of the two republics, describing it as quite constructive and productive.

In conclusion, the members of the governments of Armenia and Artsakh reported back the results of cooperation and outlined the challenges ahead. The RA delegation reaffirmed the readiness of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to quickly respond to any program relating to the development of Artsakh.
