PM Attends Triple Holiday-Dated Events in Artsakh
On a working visit to the Republic of Artsakh, the official delegation headed by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan attended the festive events dedicated to the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the formation of the Defense Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the liberation of Shushi.
Early today, the RA and NKR high-ranking officials together with the citizens marched from the Renaissance Square to the Memorial Complex in Stepanakert. They laid flowers and wreaths at the monument perpetuating the memory of the soldiers killed in the Great Patriotic War and the Liberation of Shushi.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia next visited the adjacent Fraternal Cemetery of Freedom Fighters. The Premier laid a wreath at their graves paying tribute to the memory of freedom fighters.
Then, the high-ranking officials of the Republic of Armenia and NKR laid flowers at the Tank-Monument in Shushi, the monuments to Vazgen Sargsyan and Nelson Stepanian, to honor their memory.
In an interview with reporters, Prime Minister Abrahamyan noted that the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity was further strengthened following the May victories.
“I want to congratulate the Armenian people and wish new achievements on this triple holiday. We must keep united and, as a result, we will have ever new victories. Therefore, we must do everything to strengthen our trinity,” Hovik Abrahamyan said, adding that the cohesion and determination of the Armenian people once again forced the enemy to peace.
