Armenia-UAE Economic Relationship Development Discussed
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received UAE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Jassim Mohamed Al Qasemi.
The head of the Armenian government stressed the need to develop bilateral relations in the political, economic and other fields, noting that there is great potential for it. Prime Minister Abrahamyan said the government of Armenia is prepared to discuss and support any project aimed at expanding and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
Ambassador Qasemi thanked Hovik Abrahamyan for support in the strengthening Armenia-UAE relations and expressed satisfaction with the recent developments in different fields of activity. Mr. Qasemi noted that bilateral trade turnover went up last year, with sizeable investments made in agriculture and tourism.
Noting that the UAE business circles are keen to invest in Armenia, including in the real estate industry, the Ambassador advised that a group of UAE businessmen are going to visit our country in the near future. According to Mr Qasemi, there is ever growing number of incoming tourists from the UAE, who are also visiting our country for treatment purposes.
The parties expressed confidence that the fruitful cooperation between the two governments may contribute to the further expansion of bilateral economic relations. In conclusion, Ambassador Qasemi forwarded Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s invitation for Hovik Abrahamyan to participate in the World Expo in Dubai.
